Join TRIBE Teacher and 500 RYT Taryn McLaughlin in this workshop to learn to become your own witness. You will learn practical skills through a meditation process to be an observer of your own thoughts, feelings and reactions.

A New Way To Look at Business
Join Mo Gallo, Master Reiki Teacher and Human Design Teacher to use Human Design Mediations to find the “why” for you yoga offerings. From the deep understanding, we will move through the logistics (social media, how much to charge, how to find support on military installations, etc) of how to bring your service and your business to life in a way that is authentic to you.
This class counts as CEC for Yoga Alliance. Cost is $50 for non-TRIBE teachers and $20 for TRIBE teachers.

Ayurveda and Self-Care
Jen is a 500 RYT, mvt109 facilitator, and TRIBE teacher. A long-time TRIBE volunteer, she was integral in building TRIBE's online presence. She also recently completed a computer data science program and now works in data science. Despite this right-brain job, Jen stays grounded using yogic practices and regularly journals, writes poetry, dances, reads tarot cards, and meditates. She returns to TRIBE to guide participants through Ayurveda practices and explain how this system can be used in a regular self-care routine.

Common Injuries in the Military
Participants will identify injuries common in the community we serve, analyze potential causes, and learn how to adapt programming for injured individuals with KeithAnn Halle.
KeithAnn Halle is the Director of Hybrid Clinical Education. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a MPT and DPT and went on to work in the military sector at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC. She was involved in the setup of the NeuroRehab and Concussion Physical Therapy clinic at Fort Bragg, NC and continued this work at Schofield Barracks, HI. Since then she has had the opportunity to work in many practice settings with a variety of patient populations including home health, outpatient sports rehab, assisted living, acute care, and inpatient rehab. Her clinical interests are in neurorehab, traumatic brain injury and vestibular rehab specifically, and she is a dry needling certified instructor. She has presented at the Combined Sections Meeting on dry needling several times and is passionate about this modality in the physical therapy profession. She is Certified Brain Injury Specialist and an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor. Her research interests are in clinical education best practice as well as dry needling. She has been involved in teaching in both undergraduate Athletic Training programs as well as Doctorate of Physical Therapy Programs. Previously, she was the Director of Clinical Education at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. She continues to work in neurorehab, specializing in vestibular rehab and recovery.

Introduction to Mindful Resilience with Veterans Yoga Project
This is a condensed workshop from VYP's popular Mindful Resilience & Recovery Training. Participants will look at post-traumatic stress using an evidence-based approach to symptoms, treatments, and the role of the nervous system. They will also look at potential military-specific triggers and stressors. Because this is a condensed versions of the course, participants will not be official VYP MRT teachers, but all will receive a coupon code for future training.

Mindful Movement with Jennifer Pilotti
Author of Body, Mind, Movement, Jenn has a B.S. in Exercise Science with a physiology emphasis from UC Davis, an M.S. in Human Movement from A.T. Still University, and is the owner of Be Well Personal Training in Carmel, California. Additionally, Jenn is a guest lecturer for the US Navy Senior Leadership Seminar. She emphasizes exploring awareness in all movements beyond traditional yoga postures. She is currently researching movement's affects on anxiety.

The Anatomy of Breath
KeithAnn, PT, DPT is Director of Clinical Education and Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at the University of the Puget Sound. She is also the wife of an active duty Army officer and physical therapist. As she has travelled with her husband, she has worked with and around many military communities. In this workshop, KeithAnn will discuss breath from an anatomical perspective.

Writing & Art Workshop
Six weeks of guided and supportive instruction focused on post-traumatic stress and post-traumatic growth. Prompts of journaling, discussion, and supportive listening and community. Additionally, options for art creation and methods are explored. Open to spouses and partners of military members and veterans with PTS(d) and/or moral injury.

TRIBE Teacher Reunion
Following our continuing education session with Kat on March 6, all TRIBE teachers (TRIBE Weekend and YTT graduates) are invited to attend a reunion via Zoom! We will take time to meet other teachers that were in different trainings, learn how we are keeping up with our personal practices (or use this as a check-in to re-up our personal practice!), and check-in with our goals of bringing yoga to the military community.

Yoga and the Military and Business
Join Kathryn Taron as she leads us through tips on the business of yoga! We will look at many sides of business ranging from how we can potentially reach military members with our yoga offerings to the ins and outs of owning a yoga studio. Kathryn Taron, E-RYT 200, is a former Division I long distance runner who found yoga on the North Shore of Oahu while on active duty in 2008. She was on a quest to heal an injury. After yoga helped her recover, she continued to cultivate her practice in the US and around the world. In 2013 she completed her Yoga Teacher Training with Faith Hunter in Washington, DC. She understands the struggle to balance competitive drive with respect for the body’s limits. She teaches yoga to empower others to engage in self-healing and discovery. She is the co-owner of Refresh Yoga Center in Alexandria, Virginia. She is a military spouse currently posted in Helsinki, Finland.

Dr. Garrett Gatzemeyer
Join Dr. Gatzemeyer as he discusses his book Bodies for Battle, the first in-depth exploration of the Army's physical culture. Dr. Gatzemeyer is a graduate of the United States Military Academy (USMA), former assistant professor at USMA, current contingency planner in the Army's European Command, and a distance runner, part-time yogi and Stoic. He will lead a discussion on the history of movement in the military--its purpose and practice--and how it changed over time. He will explore the different elements of personal vs. collective movement practices, as well as the influence of the country's physical culture, the Army's mission, and the changing character of combat on movement styles adopted by the military to the present day.
